I believe traveling is the best way of spending my own money; I feel great with sunny weather and when diving in warm salty waters. Love any kind of animals, but especially dogs, monkeys, fishes, octopuses, geckos and Ewoks. I really like to study, to read, to learn new stuff, and always try to do things on my own, despite not always being successful =))

As a Biology student I started my scientific life in 1996 with reef fishes' natural history, mainly cleaning symbiosis, also the research theme for my MSc thesis. After that, I studied foraging associations between reef fishes and other animals, mainly nuclear-follower fish associations, for my PhD dissertation. Now, I am studying ecological networks in reef fishes and looking at their structure and at the influence of ecological correlates, as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Universidade Estadual de Campinas, São Paulo, Brasil.
